The reading room was filmed with the endorsement of the National Center for Family Literacy. Making good on a promise he made to his dying wife, wealthy suburbanite William Campbell (James Earl Jones) opens a “reading room” in a tough inner-city neighborhood. The reading room is a place where students can come together to enjoy a vast library of books and improve their literacy.

When you RSVP on-line and donate with a check, list your school. When you donate with a credit card, reply to our e-mailed confirmation with the school name.
